Mother’s Day Advisory. A poem by Tim Dwyer

A couple with two young daughters
claim a secluded spot on the sand.
If not for hats and gloves,
they would be early arrivals
for a summer day by the shore.
The father takes the girls
down to the sea.

They surprise their mother
with periwinkle shells,
polished sea glass
and this memory.
